Here, in pictures, is how their last dozen meetings in the annual championship went ...
1. Scotland v Wales in Six Nations
2020: Wales 10, Scotland 14
If it doesn't seem like a year since Scotland last played Wales in the Six Nations, there's a reason for that. Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, it was only at the end of October that the Scots claimed their first win in Wales since 2002, courtesy of a Stuart McInally try. It was also their first Doddie Weir Cup victory. Pictured is Hawick's Rory Sutherland charging upfield at Parc y Scarlets on October 31 in Llanelli, Wales. 2. Scotland v Wales in Six Nations
2019: Scotland 11, Wales 18
A 58th-minute try by Hawick's Darcy Graham wasn't enough to avert defeat as the Welsh headed towards their first grand slam since 2012. Graham is pictured here being tackled at that game at Murrayfield on March 9, 2019, in Edinburgh. (Photo by Ian MacNicol/Getty Images) Photo: Ian MacNicol
3. Scotland v Wales in Six Nations
2018: Wales 34, Scotland 7
Substitute Peter Horne got a consolation 79th-minute try for Scotland but that was comprehensively outdone by their hosts' four tries, earning them their first-ever try bonus point.
