Amazon Dunfermline team supports Scot Baby Box Appeal fundraising gala

Amazon’s fulfilment centre in Dunfermline has continued its longstanding support for Scot Baby Box Appeal by donating £3,000 towards the charity’s annual fundraising gala.
Scot Baby Box Appeal provides support to families with newborn babies in Ukraine. The charity distributes pre-loved baby boxes, supplies for relief efforts and other necessities across the country.
Alongside the donation, a group of 40 employees from Amazon in Dunfermline attended the gala to show their support for the charity and help raise awareness of its work.
Speaking on the donation, Jamie Strain, General Manager at Amazon in Dunfermline, said:

“Scot Baby Box Appeal holds a special place in our hearts at Amazon in Dunfermline, and we’ve been proud to support its vital work over the years. The gala was a fantastic opportunity for our team to come together with the community to raise funds and awareness, and I’m delighted we could contribute to such an important cause.”
Megan Wright, an employee from Amazon in Dunfermline who attended the gala, added:
“It was wonderful to be part of the evening and to see the positive impact Scot Baby Box Appeal has on families. I felt proud representing Amazon at the event and knowing that our support is helping to make a difference.”
Gail, from Scot Baby Box Appeal, said:

“We are so grateful to Amazon in Dunfermline for this donation and for joining us at our annual gala. Their continued support over the years has been invaluable in helping us provide essential supplies to families in need. Having the Amazon team at the event really boosted the atmosphere and showed what community partnership can achieve.”
Community donations and employee volunteering are just two of the ways Amazon supports the communities where it operates. Amazon co-founded The Big House Multibank in Fife with former UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown to support families in need. The Multibank network has now donated more than 12 million surplus goods to over 800,000 families across Scotland, Wales, Greater Manchester, London, Tees Valley and Birmingham. This year, the Multibank will send 1 million orders to families across the UK.
Amazon has supported more than one million students across the UK with free STEM education programmes through Amazon Future Engineer and helps community organisations transport meals and other essentials to families in need through its pro bono logistics programme, Amazon Local Good.
Amazon partners with Comic Relief and is the official home of the charity’s iconic Red Nose. Together with its employees, customers, and partners, Amazon has raised over £4.8 million to fund projects that support people across the UK, and around the world.
