Jump into the driving seat and see if you can become the Jim Clark Christmas Champion, or simply fastest among your friends and family! You can test yourself over five laps of Silverstone in the museum’s Lotus 49 racing simulator.

The competition opportunity is available on Saturday, January 4, between 10am-4.30pm, and Sunday, January 5 from 1pm-4.30pm.

Curator Andrew Tulloch said: “This should be a fun start for the new year, with friends and family having the opportunity to test their driving skills in the simulator.

“The Lotus 49 is a legendary car, Silverstone is a legendary circuit, and this is your chance to feel for the thrill of Formula One racing at the home of a driving legend.”

Book your spot when you arrive at the museum and see if you have the driving skills to make the wall of fame.

If you’re one of the fastest drivers of the weekend, you’ll be in pole position for a special prize.
