First place went to the Hawick club’s Rory Anderson in 1:15:39 for a 13.1-mile course starting and finishing next to the town’s abbey.
Following him home in second, third and fourth places respectively were his clubmates Greg Walker, an over-40, in 1:17:26, Mark Young in 1:19:40 and Sean Linton in 1:25:15.
The only other Borders club runner to make the top ten of a field of 80 was Gala Harriers over-50 James Dennison, first in his age bracket and sixth overall in 1:27:38.
His under-20 clubmate Jessica Smith also managed a top-20 placing, ending up first in her class and 13th overall in 1:38:39.
Kinross Road Runners over-40 Caroline Jones was first female finisher and joint-ninth all told in 1:35:28.
A 10-kilometre race was also run on Sunday at the 2005-launched festival and it was won by Linlithgow Athletic Club over-40 Martin Maginnis in 38:54.
Tweed Leader Jed Track’s Greg McGovern was runner-up in 39:06 and Gala Harriers’ Daniel Lavin was third in 39:20.
McGovern and Lavin were among four Borders club runners to manage top-ten finishes, the others being the latter’s clubmate Martha Douglas, first female finisher and sixth overall in 40:17, and McGovern’s fellow TLJT member Garry Ramsay, ninth in 41:24.
Three more made the top 30 of a field of 115 – Gala’s Bob Noble, 12th in 42:58; TLJT over-60 Kevin Wood, 23rd in 44:55; and Teviotdale’s Michelle Ritson, 24th in 45:01.
Not too far behind them were TLJT’s Brodie Cowan, 31st in 47:52, and Gala over-60 Billy McCulloch, 36th in 48:21.
A near-38-mile ultra-marathon was staged on Saturday as well, won by Penicuik Harriers’ Adam Gray in 5:07:52, but Sunday’s 21st Jed Renilson wheelchair and hand-cycle 10K road-race was called off in advance because of the adverse weather forecast for the weekend.
