Melrose Literary Society meeting and Yetholm Sinfonia Beethoven concert cancelled
Melrose Literary Society’s meeting on Tuesday, March 17 has been cancelled due to COVID-19 fears.
Jane Goldman was to speak on Virginia Woolf.
The society’s Peter Hoad said: “We hope to hear her instead in the autumn.”

Hide AdThe Yetholm Sinfonia and Abbey Consort’s Beethoven concert, due to be held on April 26, has also been cancelled due to coronavirus.
Ruth Dorward told us: “After a brief committee meeting at our rehearsal on Thursday night, we have decided with regret to postpone the concert until further notice.
“It is just not prudent and indeed might well be unlawful to press ahead.
“Hopefully I will be getting back before too long with plans for its reinstatement.”
