Weekend full of local art and crafts talent

Art @ Ancrum on May Bank Holiday weekend ( Apri 28 l to May 1), full of art and artists and of course visitors.

With 34 artists and makers participating, there will be a wide variety of professional work to view and purchase in exhibitions and demonstrations; paintings, illustrations, ceramics, textiles, wood, sculpture, jewellery and more.

Venues range from artists’ studios to the village hall, the church, villagers’ front rooms and garages, and the local pub. In the Cross Keys pub there will be an exhibition entitled, Absent Friends, displaying works of arts we love but who are not actually participating in the event.

This year’s charity is Cash for Kids. There will be collection tins around the event, and Courage the Cat, Radio Borders’ Cash for Kids official mascot might even make an appearance!

Food and drink will be available throughout the weekend and even some live music (weather permitting).
