Preview: Berwick Male Voice Choir

The event is being organised by the local hall committee in aid of Great North Air Ambulance.

Tickets, which include cheese and wine, are priced at £10 and can be purchased in advance at T. W. Brand, Newsagents, Wooler, or by calling 01890 850285.

Included in the programme will be a mixture of well known songs that regular followers of the choir will be familiar with, and a number of songs that the choir will be singing for the first time in public.

It promises to be a marvellous evening of music  with a programme that will suit a wide range of musical tastes.

2016 is shaping up to be a very busy year for the choir as around 15 concerts have been scheduled, including a Four Choirs concert at Norham Parish Church, Norham, on March 12, and a Gala concert at St Andrews, Wallace Green, Berwick, on April 9.

On April 10, there will be a CD recording session at St Andrews in Berwick.

The choir is also looking forward to undertaking a short concert tour to Berwick’s twin town, Sarpsborg in Norway, in August.

The concert in Kirknewton is a wonderful opportunity to hear this renowned choir in intimate surroundings. Not to be missed.
