Music at Paxton..Plus is a chance to hear young musicians, just embarking on a professional career, in an informal setting.

On Sunday May 15, in Paxton’s picture gallery, the Foyle-Štšura Duo, comprising Michael Foyle on violin and Maxim Štšura on piano,

Critically acclaimed for their interpretations of works from the 17th Century to the present day, Michael and Maksim have toured the world since beginning their collaboration in 2012, and won the Salieri-Zinetti International Chamber Music Competition and Beethoven Piano Society of Europe Duo Competition in 2015.

The concert begins at 2.30pm. Admission is free, and reservations can be made at [email protected] or by calling 07719 702265.

Paxton House, near Berwick, will be open on the day from 10am, and there is plenty to see and do; tours of the house, formal gardens, extensive grounds and boat trips on the Tweed. The Stables Tearoom will be open 10am-5pm offering lunches and light refreshments.
