Concert by young Borders musicians
The Scottish Borders Wind and Chamber Orchestra and the Guitar Ensemble meet three times over the course of the year and this annual concert, which is a showcase for the instrumental music service, follows a weekend of intensive rehearsals at Broomlee Camp near West Linton.
The Guitar Ensemble will open the concert with music by Abba and Michael Jackson, a haunting waltz by Dimitri Shotakovich and an original piece by the ensemble’s director, Ross Milligan called ‘Chase the Train’.
