WATCH: Samantha Kinghorn wins 400m European gold
Borders para-athlete Samantha Kinghorn takes home Great Britain’s first gold medal of the IPC Athletics European Championships in the women’s 400m T53.
The 18-year-old from Gordon was making her senior debut in a GB & NI vest.
“It’s amazing,” said the Borderer. “The wind was behind me so I got a fast start. The lactic started to burn half-way but I managed to keep it going.”
