The Bears took Heat One 5-1 lead, taking full advantage of a Ben Barker engine failure when he was well clear of the pack.

But by Heat Three Thomas Jorgensen and Berwick’s guest man, Richie Worrall, stormed away to level the score 9-9.

Jorgensen and Worrall rode a cracking Heat Seven to take the maximum.

Worrall sstormed the 12th heat to put Berwick eight points ahead.

Barker’s win in the 13th effectively sealed victory.
