Bandits gear up for hectic few days
There is a rare double-header on Saturday when Rye House Rockets and Newcastle Diamonds both come to Shielfield Park as the Bandits contest two Premier League matches in one night.
A return trip to Rye House the following day completes a busy weekend.

“We are on course to qualify for the end-of-term play-offs for the league title,” explained co-promoter Ryan Anderson.
“However, to do so it is necessary to complete all our home matches by mid-September, and all the rained-out meetings now mean there are more outstanding matches than Saturdays to stage them on!
“As a result, we are doubling-up – beginning racing at half-past six this week, taking on Rye House Rockets, catch our breath for twenty minutes or so and pitch back into action against Newcastle Diamonds! Getting everything all done and dusted by half-past nine, as usual, we hope.”
