Racing: Swift Arrow triumphs at Kelso
The seven-year-old’s success in the feature £15,000 Mayfield Restaurant handicap chase completed a 125-1 treble for trainer Donald McCain and jockey Jason Maguire.
McCain also saddled a double for St Boswells owners Paul and Claire Rooney.

On a good afternoon for local connections, Selkirk trainer Stuart Coltherd received a rousing cheer after the success of Talkin Sence in the Graeme Todd Haulage and Friends handicap hurdle race, where the seven-strong field went a good gallop.
Bishops Heir, returning from a 20-month absence finished runner-up for Langholm handler James Ewart, who went one better in the David McLean Memorial novices’ handicap hurdle race with Civil Unrest, victorious at Musselburgh just two days earlier. Lucinda Russell recorded her first five-timer the previous day and her Milnathort stable is in great form.
