Swiss bliss for Peebles pedaller Isla

Isla (23), from Peebles, was in Langendorf, Switzerland, for a series of races in the Argovia Vittoria Fischer Cup.

And she was delighted to pick up first place this week at one of the events.

“I was really happy with that one!” she said.

Cycling has made an uncertain reappearance after the Covid lockdown, with some contests still subject to change.

But Isla said she’d used the free time to train intensely and focus on forthcoming World Cup and World Championship events.
