Jed's Greg is glad to be entertainer
Jedburgh speedway rider Greg Blair crossed the border to win an award.
Round one of the Redcar Speedway Summer Series, the Caroline Parr Memorial Trophy, was won by Berwick’s Leon Flint, with fellow Berwick racer Kyle Bickley second and New Zealand’s Jade Mudgway third.
Greg explained: “I missed out on the semi-finals due to a countback, as I was sitting tied with 10 points. An electrical fault in the first race cost me my semi-final but still, after some good racing, I was voted the most entertaining rider of the day – something I look forward to doing this season when the crowds are allowed back.”
His first meeting is with Berwick Bullets’ national league team, behind closed doors, on May 1.
