The EuroHockey Championships, sponsored by Rabobank, are being held in Amsterdam from June 4-13 – and Sarah, from Selkirk is on course to make her 100th appearance for the Tartan Hearts.

When she joins her colleagues in the Wagener Stadium, it’ll also be a deserved return to the top flight of European hockey after the Scots’ gold medal success in Glasgow at EuroHockey Championship II in 2019.

Great Britain women’s internationalist Sarah, 27, played in that event and has been in a rich vein of scoring form since the sport recently returned in competitive style.

The No 10, who plays her club hockey in London with Hampstead and Westminster, scored in three of her last four GB matches in the FIH Hockey Pro League.

Scotland’s EuroHockey tournament gets under way on Saturday, June 5 when they take on Spain before a contest against Ireland on June 7. Their final pool match is against hosts the Netherlands on June 9. Following the pool section, the tournament enters its latter stages, where final standings will be confirmed.

Scotland’s matches will be shown live on BT Sport and on EuroHockey TV.
