Golfing championships held at Borders club of Roxburghe

The eight finalists from Roxburghe GC's club championship are pictured

Roxburghe Golf Club, near Kelso, has held its club championship events.

The main contest was played over 36 holes, while 18 holes was the distance for the ‘B’ event, the handicap title and the ladies’ prize.

This year’s club champions is Jack MacDonald, who defeated Mark Nicholson by 6 and 5 across 36 holes.

In the ‘B’ Championship, Cameron Grieve took the honours against Roddy Finlay by 4 and 3, while the Ladies’ Championship saw Orla O'Leary overcome Lynn Bruce by 6 and 5 after 18 holes.

Ala Buchanan defeated Stewart Paisley 5 and 3 in the Handicap Championship.
