The final of the A Class was between two Border rugby stalwarts – Andy Lindores, who played for Selkirk, and Neil Crooks, who played for Gala.

In a very tight and keenly contested final, the previous seven-time champion, Andy Lindores, prevailed at the 37th hole to sneak the win.

Both played some excellent golf and were happy to see a good turnout witnessing the climax of the last few holes.

The B Class was just as keenly fought, with Ali Willison winning on the 18th against Alan Arnot.

Gary Dalgleish played well to beat a resurgent Dave Rames by 4&3.

Thanks were expressed to the members who supported on the day and in the run-up to the finals.

The qualifying tournaments have seen in excess of 75 members playing each week, which is an excellent response.

More thanks were conveyed to the clubhouse and Woll Restaurant staff, as well as Tommy Yeomans and the greenkeeping team for the fantastic condition of the course.
