Gala girl Charis is skipper of Scotland cricket team

Gala’s Charis Scott captained Scotland U17 Girls at her home cricket ground earlier this week.

Both teams also faced each other in two T20 games on Tuesday.

A Gala CC spokesman said: “We were delighted to host both teams this week and must thank our groundsmen, Davie Ormiston and Stevie Halls, and our other volunteers, for their hours of work beforehand and on both days.

“We look forward to hosting Scotland Women’s Academy against Durham Women’s Academy on Sunday, August 4.”
