Hawick Royal Albert stay fourth in table after 4-1 win on road at Livingston United
Albert’s 4-1 victory away to basement side Livingston United leaves them fourth, with 25 points from 11 fixtures, just two points behind third-placed West Calder United but with a game in hand on them.
The Royalists’ scorers in West Lothian were Harry Fowler on four minutes from the penalty spot, Greg Ford on 31, Tom Fowler on 65 and Darren Milne on 77.

Hide AdThat win – their first game for over a month after three weather-enforced postponements on the bounce – followed a 1-0 victory at home at Albert Park against Livingston in October, thanks to a Harry Fowler goal, and a 3-3 draw against them, also at home, in August, with Kieran Grant at the double and David Scholtes on target for the hosts that time round.
Manager Kenny Aitchison’s Royalists now take a break until a Borders derby at home to Linton Hotspur on Saturday, December 30, with kick-off at 2.30pm, and they’ll be looking to pull off a winning double against their West Linton rivals, having beaten them 3-1 on the road in September.
Hotspur lost 3-1 at West Calder at the weekend, leaving them second from bottom of the table, on six points from 13 fixtures.
Their scorer on Saturday was Craig Forrest two minutes ahead of the final whistle, with Dean McConnell, Jamie Booth and Alistair Morgan on target for their West Lothian hosts, also 3-0 victors away to Hotspur back in July.
