The Galashiels team currently sit in fifth place in the league after five victories on the bounce, with 18 points after eight games.

That puts them level on points with fourth-placed BSC Glasgow and third-placed Bo’ness United, though the Glaswegians have played one extra game, and just a point behind second-placed East Stirlingshire and two behind league leaders East Kilbride.

Up against Neil Hastings’ side in the cup this Saturday, November 21, are Clackmannanshire’s Sauchie Juniors.

That tie will be played behind closed doors at Netherdale, kicking off at 3pm.

Sauchie play in the East of Scotland Football League’s premier division and are currently in 13th place with eight points from as many games.

Next up after that is a trip to Dumfries and Galloway to play Gretna 2008 in the league on Wednesday, November 25, at 7.45pm.
