Borderer Josh Landers is on duty with the Scottish national football team’s under-19s in Lithuania for three European championship qualifiers.
The West Ham United academy striker is part of a squad of 20 named last week by the age-grade side’s head coach, Neil MacFarlane.

They flew to Lithuania on Sunday and kicked off against Latvia yesterday in Raudondvario, drawing 2-2, thanks to goals from Innerleithen’s Landers, 18, and Manchester United’s Tyler Fletcher.
Latvia’s goals were scored by Matiss Silins and Helvijs Joksts.
Two more matches follow, both also at Raudondvario Stadionas, and they’re against the hosts this coming Saturday and England next Tuesday, with kick-offs at 4pm and 10am respectively.
Joining Landers and Fletcher, 18, in the Scottish squad are Calum Adamson, Daniel Armer, Aidan Borland, Fletcher Boyd, Ben Brannan, Sam Chambers, Finlay Hale, Alfie Halliwell, Callan Hamill, Samuel Isiguzo, Sean McArdle, Joseph McGrath, Rydnn McGuire, Evan Mooney, Alfie Osborne, Lewis Stewart, Owen Stirton and John Tod.
The top two teams in each group and the best third-placed team will join top seeds Spain in the elite round draw on Wednesday, December 10.
The elite round takes place next spring and it will see seven nations joining hosts Wales in the finals in June and July.
Former Peebles High School pupil Landers’ latest goal is his sixth in six appearances for the young Scots so far this season, the others having been in friendlies during two prior international windows.
