Captain Jamie Glover enjoyed the flat, hard surface in a knock of 54, anchoring the innings, reports Rich Young.

The returning Gavin Deans then had fun late down the order with a quickfire 26 not out, with the Saints posting a total of 113 for 9 in the 40 overs. Under par, but something to bowl at.After an hour-Iong rain shower, the wicket slowed a little bit but tight bowling by the away side, and the regular taking of wickets, moved St Boswells from underdogs to favourites.

Haddington wee only 56 for 6 after 29 overs, meaning double that score, plus one, was needed off just 11 overs.

But experienced Cardwell-Moore (55 not out) upped the rate, taking more chances and riding his luck, as three catches went down in quick succession.

Those would prove costly as the East Lothian hosts hit their way over the line with three overs to spare, with no more wickets falling.

Jordan Broom was the best of the bowlers, with 2 for 12 off his 8.

St Boswells remain second bottom in the relegation places, returning to home comforts this weekend against Murrayfield DAFs.
