The travel company will allow holidaymakers to either change their holiday or get a full refund if they need to cancel because travel advice to their destination has been changed.

Giving peace of mind to customers

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) has been changing travel restrictions for different countries, in line with their own coronavirus infection rates.

In some cases, it has changed the advice for a specific country, advising against “all but essential travel” with fewer than 48 hours' notice.

However, if the FCDO changes its advice to “all but essential travel” before you’re due to jet off, then Eurocamp will allow you to either choose a different trip, receive a refund credit note or receive a full cash refund.

The changes are part of the company's new policy for holidays in 2021, which hopes to give peace of mind to its customers, and is based on what the advice is at the time of your trip, not when you booked.

The policy includes a 'free amendment service', which allows you to change your location, dates or accommodation up to seven days before your departure, completely free of charge.

The company is also currently charging £99 deposits, with the full balance not due until six weeks before you depart. You can also choose how you pay for your holiday - either in instalments or in one big sum.

The Eurocamp website says, “Like never before, our holidays are designed for your peace of mind. We've looked at every stage of your holiday with us, and made adjustments to ensure your health and safety. Government advice is changing all the time, so we will continue to keep up to date with the latest guidelines.

“Each parc is also making adaptations to facilities and procedures where necessary to keep our guests and staff as safe as possible. Visit each parc page for details, which will be reviewed on a regular basis in line with any changes in local guidelines.”
