Scottish schoolchildren are in the midst of the dreaded exam period, with National 5, higher and advanced higher finals all taking place in May and June.

The National 5 qualifications have now been utilised by schools since 2014, taking the place of Standard Grades and are typically undertaken by Scottish 15 to 16 year olds over a yearlong period.
