Young Farmers shoot to success

Ettrick and Lauderdale JAC won the Young Farmers’ East Clay Pigeon Shoot in Fife at the end of last month.

Numbers were down on last year with only 21 shooters taking part in total (5 teams and 6 individuals) due to the good weather.

Competitors took part in a 40 bird competition, and from this the top 3 teams battled it out in the 40 bird flush.

When it came down to the final part of the competition, Kinross ‘A’ JAC were knocked

off the top spot by Ettrick and Lauderdale in the flush.

Representing the local team were Ben Moffat, Marc Wilkinson and Sandy Pate.

Ben also took third spot in the ‘Top Gun’ contest.
