Work on £12m Premier Inn at Tweedbank begins
Work has started on a £12m scheme which will incorporate a new hotel, drive through coffee shop and petrol station at the new Borders Gateway development in Tweedbank.
The complex, on a site next to the Melrose roundabout, was granted planning permission by Scottish Borders Council in September.
And earlier this week diggers moved on to the site to begin clearing work.
