Borders Alcohol and Drugs Partnership are asking individuals to pledge to giving up alcohol for the month of January as part of a keeping healthy campaign.

Making a small change in your drinking behaviour can make a big difference to your health.

‘Dry January’ took place for the first time Borders in January 2015, and those who took part said that they felt better, lost weight, saved money and slept better.

Elaine Torrance, Borders Alcohol and Drugs Partnership Chair said: “After a busy festive period when we may have over indulged, ‘Dry January’ is the perfect kick start to the new year.

“Start the year as you mean to go forward, and feel healthy, happy and energised.”
