Borders weather: Forecast for the weekend

The latest forecast from the Met Office predicts a cloudy but mainly dry day on Saturday, with occasional sunny spells and the odd isolated shower, particularly in the early morning.

The warm temperatures of late should continue with a maximum of 17 degrees Centigrade, though it will be windy.

However, heavier rain reaches the area on Saturday night and into Sunday, continuing into the afternoon, before easing off as the day progresses.

Maximum temperature on Sunday will again be 17 degrees Centigrade with only slight winds.
