Street Pastors on the way

Borders Street Pastors are currently in training to aid vulnerable people coming out of nightclubs by offering a friendly ear or, if required, a pair of flipflops.

But they will be out on the streets soon.

Their commissioning service, which marks the end of the first phase of their training, takes place on Saturday, June 11, at 8pm in the Trinity Church, Galashiels.

After the service, there will be refreshments and the Street Pastors will be going out at around 10pm.

An invitation to the service is expended to anyone – church congregations, councillors or police, indeed anyone who has an interest in this major initiative in the Borders.
