Sammi zooms in to talk to eclub

The Rotary eClub of Southern Scotland has named its first online speaker '“ Borders wheelchair racer Sammi Kinghorn.

Sammi will talk about her remarkable journey over the past five years – from being paralysed from the waist down after an accident on the family farm to being a triple medallist in the IPC European Games in Swansea in 2014 and now aiming for Rio de Janeiro as part of the GB Paralympic squad – on Wednesday, February 3, at 7pm, on the club’s online Zoom meeting.

The club’s Helen Syme said: “We’re inviting Rotary eClubs, regular Rotary Club members and friends to join us.

“The club meets online via Zoom, which is a similar software package to Skype. Our numbers are restricted, so visit our application page at www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/7ZMCKDC to book your place or to let us know if you can’t attend.
