Referendum: Borders has 87.4% turnout
A total of 27, 906 votes (33%) were cast for Yes and a total of 55,553 votes (67%) were cast for No.
A total of 67 votes were rejected for a number of reasons, including: 0 did not bear the official mark on the ballot paper; 11 voted in favour of both answers; 1 included writing or a mark by which the voter could be identified and 55 were unmarked or void for uncertainty.
