AGM to be held next month

Galashiels Community Council is set to hold its first public meeting through the Zoom application.

The group’s AGM will take place on Wednesday, September 2 at 6.30pm.

The community council’s secretary Tracey Alder told The Southern: “If members of the public wish to attend, they must supply their email address to me at [email protected] no later than Monday, August 31, so that I can send them the link to join the meeting.”

At the AGM, the council’s office-bearers will be elected and Galashiels residents can be nominated to join the group.

Galashiels Community Council held its last public meeting in March, before its operations were stalled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
