Early figures show that they invested in more than £160,000-worth of paintings, sculptures, original prints, ceramics, stone carvings and other artworks.
Frances Fergusson, the fair’s director, said: “We’re delighted with the level of sales made by the exhibitors, and the positive feedback which we received from the visitors.
“The atmosphere was upbeat and it was wonderful to see the artists and galleries networking, not only with the customers, but also with each other.
“Despite the current economic climate, visitors travelled from far and wide to celebrate, discover, discuss, enjoy, and buy art, which is evidence of how important engagement with creativity is.”
There were two dozen first-time participants, including 11 from the Borders.
