A 10-year-old girl from Stow has given up her waist-length long locks so that a child with cancer can feel that bit happier.

Isabelle Mack came up with the idea herself, said mum Victoria and dad Davie.

Davie said: “Isabelle has been growing her hair specially.

“She wants to have it cut so her hair can be sent to the Little Princess Trust so that some other young lass who has lost her hair through cancer will be able to wear a wig made from it.

"She just came up with the idea one morning over breakfast, and I just wondered where on earth does all this come from!

"It’s such a special thing to do, and it’s all down to her.

"We’re very proud.”

Hi, good to talk to you you just know. Isabelle is very excited about the idea of publicity for her fundraising.

Here is the Just Giving link https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/davie-mack1

So far 10 year old Isabelle has raised over £500 online and in cash donations in the Stow Post Office and Lauder Hair Razors salon. Hair Razors are kindly cutting her hair for free to support her cause. Both money and her hair is going to the Little Princess Trust for children with cancer.

She says she's doing it because "I want to make the life of a child with cancer happier. I'm so thankful for all the money I have raised so far and would love to raise even more to change the lives of more children"

Hope this is ok. We will send photos after she cuts her hair on Tuesday evening and also when she counts the significant cash donations in the Stow Post Office with Alison Runciman on Thursday evening.
