Products show off Borders fabric design talent
A number of exhibitors who design, source and make products local to Hawick will be involved, and the event will focus on spinning and weaving processes, products and garments.
Evelyn Morrison, who focuses on spinning Dutch spotted sheep yarn, said: “Dutch spotted sheep originated in Holland, where they first appeared in paintings around 1800, and are called ‘Bonte Schaap’.

Hide AdFirst brought to the uk in 2015, they are classed as a pure breed. A herd at Orchard Farm, Hawick is the source of Evelyn’s yarn.
Shear Rock creates garments using wool from around the world and this year have released a collection of mohair scarves woven in Langholm, made in Hawick.
Flora Collingwood-Norris, a freelance luxury knitwear designer, will also be exhibiting her work.
A collection of rugs from Christopher Trillo’s collection, as well as more from Christopher Ryan of Damascus Drum, will be on display.

Hide AdBack issues of Cornucopia magazine are available to browse, for design inspiration, and a special collection of silk masks are available to buy, with proceeds going to Chisholme House, a charity based close to the town.
