Number of Borders patients killed by coronavirus up two to 19
That brings the total of deaths from Covid-19 to 19 since the outbreak began.
NHS Borders is currently treating 39 patients confirmed to have the virus across the region’s hospitals, along with a further 15 suspected sufferers awaiting test results.

Hide AdSeven of those patients are being treated in intensive care.
The number of people who have recovered from the virus and been discharged from hospital remains at 17.
Six more NHS Borders staff have tested positive for the virus, taking the total to 49 out of 156 of the board’s 3,500 staff tested.
Ninety of those came back negative, with results pending on the remaining 17.

Hide AdThese figures are collated daily at midnight by the local health board.
A national update, including the total number of people to have tested positive in the Borders since the pandemic arrived here, will be released by the Scottish Government at 2pm.
