More mountain bikes stolen at Glentress

Police have issued an appeal for witnesses after more bikes were stolen from Glentress overnight last night.

The five mountain bikes are believed to have been taken between 10.30pm on Sunday and 7.30am this morning from Glentress Lodges, near Peebles.

The bikes are described as follows:

○ SPECIALIZED TURBO LEVO SL e-bike, size small, black in colour, No serial number, with Black Eliminator Tyres, Fox suspension and Sram black brakes.

○ CANYON NERVE AL, grey in colour with lime green highlights, no serial number, with Shinano Deore Group set and Swiss DT wheelset.

○ KTM MYROON MASTER, orange and black in colour.

○ ON ONE MACATUSKILL, orange in colour.

○ CANONDALE F29 TEAM, white and green in colour.

A police spokesperson said: “Anyone with any relevant information should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident 667 of August 3.

“Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”

It follows the theft of a bike worth more than £5,000 from the car park at Glentress last weekend.
