Kelso's Citizen of the Year Lynn is a good sport
The retired PE teacher has thrown herself into community projects, such as organising the 10km race at Floors Castle, coaching hockey and badminton, and holds fitness classes.
Indeed, during lockdown, she went live on social media several times, with a series of skipping challenges.

Hide AdShe has also raised large amounts for charities, and is co-ordinator of the small local fundraising group for the British Heart Foundation, as well as chairing the SportKelso organisation for 10 years.
Lynn caught the eye of the town’s Rotary Club, which chooses someone annually for the award, last year.
However, due to Covid-19 restrictions, it’s only now they have been able to hand over the award to Lynn, with club president Ian Ross presenting her with the inscribed salver on the banks of the Tweed.
Lynn told us: “I am absolutely over the moon … a bit embarrassed too if I am honest, as I have not done much this year in particular and have felt guilty about that.

"I just can't believe I am old enough to have been volunteering and chairing groups for that long.
“The Rotary is a great group of people who encourage others to do good things.”
