Traditional greetings between the burghs of Lauder and Galashiels go back to the beginning of the braw lads’ gathering when the latter suggested an annual tryst at the county boundary.

This week in 2010, braw lad Greg Borthwick and braw lass Katie Scott led their cavalcade and cornet Fraser Middlemiss was at the head of the Lauder contingent. We’ve found some archive photos from that night as well as the 2008 Threepwood ride led by Lauder cornet Jon Threadgall, braw lad Jamie Hind and braw lass Lauren Horsburgh.
