In pictures: A look back to when the snow stuck around in the Borders

With the Borders seeing its first scattering of snow for 2020 last Thursday, we were spurred on to take a look back through the archives for some more extreme examples of winter weather photographer in years gone by.

For while last week’s flurry failed to stick around long enough for us to get many photos, this same month in 2013, the Borders was blanketed in snow which lasted almost a fortnight - giving our photographers at the time, as well as our readers, plenty of time to share their most picturesque snow scenes with us.
