Flodden dinner postponed

Due to restrictions imposed as a result of Covid-19, the Flodden 1513 Club committee has decided to postpone the Coldstream-based organisation’s 2020 dinner until further notice.

However, the September 9 battle commemoration will go ahead, albeit with restricted numbers.

Those taking part will be committee members, former club standard bearers, six Selkirk ex-standard bearers, club standard bearer William Rutherford and Iain Fallas, who will carry the Borderers Return standard.

There are no toasts at the Flodden memorial this year, but these will be delivered at the club’s Tweed Green memorial after returning from Flodden. The toasts will be delivered by William Rutherford and Ian Fallas, along with Gary Guthrie, from the Selkirk ex-standard bearers.

The company will then retire to Coldstream Royal British Legion.
