Speaking at Selkirk Community Council’s online meeting on Monday, Graham Easton, organiser of Selkirk's Response Team – which at the height of lockdown completed more than 400 shopping trips, prescription pick-ups, post office visits and dog walks – said there had been “very few requests” this time round.

He said: “There’s been a big shift as to how people are approaching this lockdown … it may mean that people have set up their own support networks, or that they are just that bit more switched on for it having gone through it all already.”
