Dancing Brings Communion for Borders band’s first video

A four-piece band from Galashiels going by the name of Hunting Unicorns have put together their first video to spearhead their song Dancing Brings Communion.

It’s a cracking piece of work, centred on a young dancer named Julia Wierzbinska from Y Dance, a Scottish contemporary youth dance company.

Frontman and vocalist Brian Devlin says the song tells the story of a great yound dancer living in New York in the 1980s.

He said: “He was dying from Aids, and his friends helped him to give a final perfoemance to help him express his feelings to his friends and family.”

Brian is joined by Gordon Brown, from Langlee, and Edinburgh duo Jonty Pennington Twist and his buddy Vid.

The song itself has grabbed the attention of the airwaves both here and in America.

Brian said: “We got a bit of radio play and label interest in America through Reverb Nation, and Scottish DJ Jim Gellatly said he wants to make Dancing Brings Communion a track of the day on Amazing Radio.

The band is also working on releasing their next single All Loves Fears soon.
