It’s a different state of affairs from other counts, as due to Covid-19 restrictions, overnight counts are not permitted and, for the Borders, is taking place over today and tomorrow, when the votes for the Midlothian South, Tweeddale and Lauderdale constituency will be counted.

The Southern Reporter will bring you the result as they are announced on both days.
