Nostalgia: Hawick High School's 1976 production, Iolanthe

Did you tread the boards at Hawick High school in the 70s? The leads in the 1976 production took to the streets to publicise the show, Gilbert and Sullivan's Iolanthe.

The comic opera tells the story of a fairy Iolanthe has been banished from fairyland because she married a mortal; this is forbidden by fairy law. It leads to complications for her own son, who is half fairy, half mortal.
