NOSTALGIA: 1991 knitters

This week in 1991 students at the Scottish College of Textiles in Galashiels were supporting the Anneka Rice knitting challenge to Scotland as part of the BBC television Children In Need campaign.

Throughout the day students, the flat-beds and the college knitting machines were on full speed working through almost 200 kilos of wool donated from local companies which was to result in the creation of more than 100 jumpers for the challenge.
