Man rescued from house fire in Coldstream
Firefighters rescued a man from his burning flat in Coldstream early this morning and gave him oxygen for the effects of smoke.
Neighbours in Abbey Road raised the alarm around twenty minutes to one and crews from Coldstream and Kelso were turned out.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus forced their way into the ground floor flat to carry out the rescue and extinguish the blaze.
