Jedburgh-Brittany bonds shown in rugby and music

The visit is being jointly organised through Jed Thistle RFC and local musicians.
The guests are members of the under-18s section of the Rugby Club in the Malestroit area, together with some members of the Bagad Auel Douar (their town’s local Pipe Band).

Hide AdAs well as a bit of the traditional sightseeing around the Borders, the visit will feature matches against Jed Thistle (held at Lothian Park, on Tuesday, April 5 at 4.30pm) and the Kelso Junior Rugby Club (at Poynder Park, on Thursday, April 7 at 4.30pm).
The Bagad Auel Douar will play on the pitch before both matches.
Despite their common celtic roots, there are differences between a Breton and a Scottish Pipe Band – but a joint practice with the Jedburgh RBLS Pipe Band will be another feature of their week in the Borders and music fans may well be able to see them playing in other locations around the area.
Members of the public are urged to come along to support the rugby matches between Jed Thistle, Kelso Quins and their visitors.
