The Earl of Home will buss the burgh standard in the town’s Market Square at 10am, before the Coldstreamer Stefan Home and his right and left hand men Jono Wallis and Andrew Guthrie lead a cavalcade along the High Street, over Coldstream bridge and on to Flodden. Former MSP Jeremy Purvis will give this year’s Flodden oration at 1.15pm, after the traditional cavalcade charge up Branxton Hill.

On Friday at noon, 50 Coldstream Guards will march from Market Square and along the High Street to mark the 50th anniversary of the regiment receiving the freedom of the burgh.
